Whether you run, hike, bike, rock climb, ski, snowboard, kayak, canoe, do cardio, lift weights, or practice yoga and pilates, join the fun and skimble it!

Skimble was made by active people. We started Skimble to keep track of our activities and trips. It was a tool for us...and now it's a tool for you!

The Team

Maria Ly, Co-founder	Maria has trekked to K2 base camp in Pakistan and projected climbs up to 5.13a around the world. Back in the city, she enjoys yoga, climbing competitions, and the tech scene. Before Skimble, Maria worked on product and marketing at Google, Flurry, and Cypress. Maria holds a BASci in Computer Engineering with minors in Management Sciences and International Studies, co-operative education, from the University of Waterloo, Canada. She was a gymnast on the Canadian national all-stars power cheer team. If you see Maria on the street, ask her to show you a crazy human-contortion trick!
Gabriel Vanrenen, Co-founder	Gabe has rock climbed 2400 feet in a day and big wall climbed the most overhanging wall in North America. When he's not sleeping on the side of a cliff, Gabe is an entrepreneur with a strong technology and product background. His consumer web and mobile products have received awards including the Top 100 Products by PC World and the Sun Microsystems Duke's Choice Award. Gabe is also a published author for his research in computer security and has multiple patents pending. Gabe holds a B.A. in Computer Science, Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude, from Dartmouth College.
Sophia Brueckner, Illustrator	When Sophia isn't designing gorgeous generative artwork, she's either remodeling her home in Santa Cruz or actively surfing, practicing yoga, mountain biking, and climbing. She designs our sports icons and is our go-to girl for visual design feedback. Sophia worked in software engineering at Google and holds a Sc.B. Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Brown University.
