How do I skimble with music?

First start playing music on your iPod then launch the Skimble iPhone application.

Can I tweak paths recorded via GPS on my iPhone later?

Yes, you can modify any of your paths online when browsing to http://skimble.com on the web (you're here!). You may want to do this for paths recorded during periods of low GPS strength.

What are activity points?

You earn activity points when you plan and track your active life on Skimble. Here's the breakdown:

What are Personal Bests?

What do the climbing "ascent styles" mean?

Successful Ticks:
Onsight Successfully climb a route without falling or resting on the rope and with no beta (tips) about how to climb the route.
Flash Lead climb a route without falling or resting on the rope, but with some beta (tips) about how to climb the route.
Redpoint Lead climb a route without falling or resting on the rope, but having attempted or climbed it previously.
Top Rope - no rests Top rope climb a route without falling or resting on the rope.
Free solo Climb a route without the protection of a rope.
Attempted Ticks:
Lead - with rests Lead climb a route with falls or rests on the rope.
Top Rope - with rests Top rope climb a route with falls or rests on the rope.

How should I carry my iPhone while GPS tracking?

We recommend wearing a shirt with a pocket in the back or using an armband to carry your iPhone while you track. Here are some suggestions:
