The amazing trek from Askole, Pakistan to K2 basecamp takes about 7 days (one way) and covers a lot of distance down the Baltoro Glacier. If you decide to go to Pakistan to trek, this is not to be missed. Retracing your path back to Askole is not the best way, but if the high pass (Ghongodoro La) is closed then you will have to do that. An extra two days will get you to Trango Tower base camp on the way there or back.
