A bit less effort today, yet technically more demanding. Fantastic hike in amazing weather conditions: 12,5km with 950 metres difference in altitude up to 2.250 metres in 4:30 hrs. Light unsecured climbing with loose pebble in ascent and descent, not for the faint of heart

Near-rest day today: a little gondola-assisted sightseeing in the morning and 'only' a short but pretty challenging via ferrata in the afternoon. Category D, 130 metres difference in altitude, partially highly exposed, approx. 1 hr climbing time plus 30 mins for ascent and descent

Congratulations! Which app do you use?

This is Samsung Health Miguel. Using it for tracking food mainly. The steps counter (which doesn't always work like it should) is just a bonus. The hikes are logged with Geo Tracker. GPS, altitude, map and stuff in a small and simple app.

Today's tour finds me beat up quite good, less from lack of shape but more from a general problem with distances > 15 km which lead to pain especially in the hip tendons. Probably due to not walking a lot in everyday life...
05 Sep
17,4km with 700 metres difference in altitude (total ascent of 1000 metres) up to 2.050m in a total net hiking time of 4:15 hrs.
05 Sep
A very long walk!! Good job Mathias!! I hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks Miguel. I did, just weather wasn't too good today

Hey everyone. Assumptions of me having finally left our little fitness community were premature! Problem is that some weeks ago I got the diagnose the the meniscus in my right leg is torn, just 1 1/2 years after suffering from the same problem in the left knee... Surgery will be end of November so there'll be no serious sports for another 6 months sadly. I'll try to do a few not leg related workouts here and there before being on crutches again.
05 Sep
How about PRP? I'll get it done when back in Dubai for my ACL and achilles. Plenty of other stuff you can do. As you know I've dealt with injuries and still do today for years (kickboxing related mostly), I even use the app for rehab... Hope, things get better for you.
05 Sep
Don't leave...there's no good explanation for that lol... like Foxy said, the rehab wo's have helped me in the past too. Hope it doesn't get you down mate...We're always here if you want to just say hi
05 Sep
Hang in there don't give up

I did research on PRP already 2016 Heidi and found that it's not for me. Thanks for the hint anyway. Good luck on your treatment

Hey dearest Shew! Workload hasn't been much less so far both in my flat and in office so I'm still not able to really get back in the game... Apart from that I'm pretty good - how are you hun?

Backlog - Qualifying tournament. Yes, we didn't train or even play together in quite a while. But actually it's probably that we have just become too old to be able to still compete on top level. Bit sad but nothing one can change...

I know that there will be a good portion of muscle soreness anyway from Badminton tomorrow - so why not push it to the limit?! Beautiful hike around the 'Genovevahöhle' near Trier: a good 15 km with 200 metres difference in altitude in 4 1/2 hrs. My legs will be so dead tomorrow...

Well well... one could easily witness that i didn't play for weeks - not the best requirements for the tournament coming up. But there's one more training session left - and it's a fun tournament anyway
24 Apr
Well well dear how are you
26 Apr
Thx for asking Lis. I'm not too bad, although I could use quite a phase without any important ToDos or problems... But that time will come and then I hope i can be an active fitness family member again
