anyone else have tips on toning legs its currently my weak spot

Do a variety of weighted squats and lunges. If you go to the gym, use the leg press.

I do leg press/calf press supersets with squat/calf raise supersets. 
Leg press 5 sets, calf press 5 sets (same machine, the incline one). Start high rep low weight finish low rep high weight 
Then
Squat 5sets calf raise 5 sets, switching from normal to reverse (squat barbell, raise smith machine)
Same set format as before except start low re p high weight 

Reps would look like this
40, 40
30, 30
20, 20
10, 10
5, 5
5, 5
10, 10
20, 20
30, 30
40, 40
