Honestly, all body weight exercises are safe and effective, losing weight the best way would be cardio first.u can't lose weight no matter how many crunches or setups planks or these commercials stating equipment works..if u don't lose the weight first before building muscle,then all ur doing is building muscle under fat which makes a person look bigger rather then toner.

Push ups, none. Push ups is all upper body. Planks are the best thing for tightening the core, along with sit-ups and crunches.

Push ups ARE planks but you're just pushing up and down! you get tired faster so you work the arms more than the core but still, you get both

mountain climbing is the best for losing tummy weight,, try it out sometimes.. :-)

With push-ups and sit-ups you gain more muscles than you loose fat,so in the end you gain weight.
