I too have these issues. If you don't mind how much did you gain and keep? I gained 50 and went down past my pre pregnancy weight of 175 and then I regained and became a lot less toned. 189 now.
I gained 60 and have actually put on an extra ten in the year after. I'm finally done thinking about it and doing something. As far as targeting goes, you can't really do that per say but if say start getting into cardio and you'll lose the way you gained in most cases. Then as you get more endurance start throwing some strength training.. For legs do squats, tummy do crunches or sit ups arms pushups and chair dips. That will cover the basics. Good luck!
