I like to do 2-3 of the shorter intense workouts!
I'm just doing intense 5 to 10 minutes workouts with the app, but I work out without the app very often.
When I started usually I stuck with stuff less than 10 minutes. Even now i still mostly do that but do more per day. Sometimes I will do a 20 min. I have a yoga class for an hour twice a week so that was good for me to commit to. Paying some money and being in a group does a whole lot for pushing me past what I wouldn't do alone.

Stick to the 5 - 10 min. Workouts then take it a step at a time
Mine average 30-40 mins, but can blitz a workout in 20 mins, deoending on intensity and what I need to achieve. Everyone will have a different goal, different endurance level, and body make up...so I'd be surprised if there is a perfect answer
