Hi, I have recently joined and so far im loving it, however I was wondering what is best for toning/muscle definition? Currently I am slightly underweight regardless of how much I eat, so I don want to lose weight, but rather increase my muscle mass and tone up a bit. What is the best way to go about that, without losing weight, since I can't really afford to lose too much more without ending up in hospital? Currently I work out 60-90 min a day focusing on strengthening and toning, but still lose weight...help please, thank you.
Also it would be great to find a workout buddy for motivation, if anyone is up for it
Cut down ur workout time. Might b too long.Do u take protein powder at all? This may help with gaining muscle. U may just b one of those people who have a super fast metabo. Ill try n help anyway i can. Good luck
Daily I eat 1500-2000 calories a day and I try to mainly focus on strengthening rather than fat burn during my work outs, with little to no cardio... So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...
What would be the optimal workout time? And how often a week would be best? Like I said I do 60+ minutes daily 7 days a week.. And no I don't take a protein shake, would that be recommended for my current goal?
Are there specific foods I could eat as well to help with this goal?
You might benefit from increasing your caloric intake and decreasing your workout time just a bit. Limit your cardio but don't totally abandon it. Increase your weights if you can and vary your routine.
If ur looking to gain muscle u have to increase ur daily calories. Good calories though. Yes i think a protein supplement like whey protein would b good. I like muscle milk,it tastes good.

Take protein bfore n after wourkout. Go online n put in ur weight n height n how long/often u workout. Should tell u what ur caloric intake should b. Keep me posted
Alright so it said for maintenance my intake should be around 2200, while weight loss is around 1800, which would explain a lot since I normally get between 1500-2000 a day. But wow, I would have yo be constantly eating to get 2200 daily!
Doesnt sound like much of a jump. Throw in a power bar somewhere in the afternoon. Boom, done
