Hard to say, it depends on the person. I know you're probably looking for something a little definite and that that's not what you want to hear, but it's true. I CAN tell you however that you'll probably notice your strength growing before you notice your muscles, and that others will see the changes before you do, because of how gradually it will happen. Just hang in, work hard, and be safe.

i agree it takes time but you will feel better about yourself right after your first workout.

For me the magic number was two weeks. Mentally I was super focused and I felt a lot better about myself and I thought I looked different. But that just might have been my increased self esteem :) I also started flexing in the mirror LOL
