Hi I've just started running long distance in the last few months. Any suggestions on a good shoe that doesn't break down as easily? I've gone through 2 pair in 4 months

I agree with this. I have a pair of brooks and LOVE them. The most comfortable running shoes I have worn for sure

It's all personal preference.   Acics Gel and Brooks are pretty good shoes.   I wear Vibrams Five Fingers shoes.   Most of these shoes need to be replaced around 400 miles.
