Heard the same thing, and saw a video on that very subject on YouTube.
The new army combat challenge is a lot more telling of your conditioning than the old pt test for sure. I was infantry and there were guys that nailed the test but sucked in actual situations. Definitely do a lot of cardiovascular and bodyweight, functional strength exercises
