I  agree with Anthony W., I'm Ex Army, and for sure ALOT of cardio.......good luck.....

Thanks a lot guys.  I'm also working on maxing out the pushup and situp events, but the 2 mile run is what's killing me

I'm in the army at the moment. Finally destroying the PT test. Best way is to run before workouts, gives you a better workout. Also before you go to bed or wake up crank out situps and pushups. Every time you do it add one to the rep. It'll get you there. Got me to a 370 score and I'm still going up.

I'm active duty Air Force but I recently read an article, that the army is changing their pt test. I know they are doing trials on it now.

The new army combat challenge is a lot more telling of your conditioning than the old pt test for sure. I was infantry and there were guys that nailed the test but sucked in actual situations. Definitely do a lot of cardiovascular and bodyweight, functional strength exercises
