Pre or post workout supplements? ?

Those of you who are into strength training , and use supplements, which do you prefer? Is the pre workout better or is the post workout better...ive been doing alot of research and weighing everything in contrast it really seems its depending on the individual? Any tios or brands in particular?

Good thing I find this topic, I need help to! It's hard for me to get suplement for either pre or post workout, is it quiet enough to use protein from meats, eggs and some vegs?

I usually make my own pre workout supplement. I use stuff like peanut butter, banana, cinnamon, eggs, geek yogurt, flax seeds. Post I have my whey protein drink.
