The key is the diet. The calories intake should be less or equal to the activity you do.
I find timing my meal works best in losing weight. I adopt monk's tradition, though not as extreme as theirs. I time my breakfast at least 12 hours after my last meal in the day before.
And I do cardio in the morning before I eat anything except plain water or milk.
This might be con against this, but I find this works. Make sure you eat enough nutrients in your diet...
