To view private messages you don't hafta be pro:

Touch the top left app icon. Until it gives you a drop down menu.
(this is for Android, if you iPhone then idk)
Select profile, to view your profile.
Then touch your phone's menu button,  usually on the lower left, looks like lines.
That will bring up a menu where you can select an option to view your private messages.
There is still no notification on this app for when you get a message, so it's generally kinda useless.

I wanted to help you learn this cuz it's basic and useful, NOT because I think some dude who private messaged you on your first public forum question has said anything worth reading.
