Don't forget that if you are starting to workout you are going to grow some muscles that will increase your weight! :)

I only weigh in once a week, ever Sunday to be exact. And I look forward to it all week. It's become a great motivator. By the way, I pick Sundays because it helps stay in line over weekend and not binge eat.

I try to weigh in before i eat because i heard its more accurate and it is motivating because when i weigh in i get more committed because i realize how close i am to my goal weight

That's what I do too. Every Sunday I weigh in before I eat breakfast. It's more accurate and consistent from week to week. Been losing about 1 -2 pounds per week since I started doing it that way.

They make red velvet ice cream?!  I love red velvet cupcakes too!  That's why we have our fitness community here; to keep us straight.  That way we don't lose our damn minds and start dipping nachos into red velvet ice cream!

128 sounds good! I'm 202 right now but I'm 6 feet tall. I was 286 when I started. My goal weight is 185, so I'm getting close. I've been slowing down though because I've been lifting more lately to try and tone and build muscle.

Yea, I exercise 6 days a week. Diet and weights are everything. The more lean muscle you have the more calories you'll burn. But diet is number one! I use an app to count calories. My daily limit is1600 calories, I've been losing at least a pound per week since I dropped to those calorie limits. But, a trick that helped me was to take it 10 pounds at a time. For example,  when I weighed 286 my goal wasn't 185 because it's too large a number it breaks your confidence. My goal was to get into the 270's and then get into the 260's, etc.. Each ten pounds was a victory and that helped me not get down on myself or get fixated on the big number.

Sorry, this to Tony a's question

Currently I'm doing insanity and the thing I hate the most isn't insanity itself rather looking at the scale! Man I always get scared of looking at it, I much rather do insanity than look at the scale :/

24 Jul
I'm a scale fanatic!! I know its bad for you... I just can't fight the urge to get up there everyday :(
24 Jul
I know what that's like. I used to weight myself in the morning before my routine and after my routine and then again at the end of the day. One day I just stopped doing it, I don't know why.
