My motivation is to think "what good reason do I have to be a lazy slob today?".....I never seem to come up with a good enough answer

For those who find an answer, ask next: How many reasons do I have to start now? It's important not to ask "what good reason do I have now". Maybe, if you're lazy, you don't find an answer. But if you ask "How many..." you tell your mind there really are reasons. It's an condition. Only question is how many. You trick your own mind lol
