About five days ago I burnt my arm pretty bad on my curling iron and I had a horrible blister but last night after taking a shower I accidently popped it while drying off but I have swim team tonight so is it ok to go swimming or should I maybe sit out?

It should be fine. As long as you wash it when you are done swimming. I've swam with popped blisters before and they were fine.

Also letting the wound dry after washing and before bandaging is important.

I wouldn't go swimming! :c I think it's a second degree burn..? Since it blistered and those should be taken extra care of. And especially since you accidentally popped it. Even though it's "pool water", the chemicals can cause irritation and/or infection and it may hinder the healing process.

Here is more information :)

Yes, a blister means second degree burn, but if you wash the area, put neosporin on it, and bandage it, the chances of getting an infection after swimming are very small.
