Sometimes after a workout I want to make sure to eat something that gives me my energy back....but doesn't include the calories I just worked so hard to burn.Any suggestions for recipies or specific foods to eat would be greatThanks!
Bananas are considered to be the "best" recovery food. There are also recovery formulae that you mix with water and drink. I use those, and they work pretty well. There are even a few that aren't nasty.
Ok this is going to sound weird but trust me it works. Get a good quality juicer and juice vegetables like spinach etc. alongside with say, one lemon. These type of blends are also used for detox. And most importantly as a lifestyle, try not to eat acidic foods as they ard the main cause of fat. I stated that you can put a lemon in the blend above because a lemon, once digested, becomes alcaline. Also try to drink water with pH 8 or above.
