I want to lose at least 25 lbs by next year I know I can do it . I want to be healthier for my family and so I can be more confident with my body.

This is a great goal at least you're not trying to lose that in a month, with a crazy diet that never works. My advice though forget about the scales and focus on the mirror. A monthly picture diary would be much more satisfying :)

With veg diet ( almost without oil) and balance exercise you can achieve atleast 18 to 20 lbs by new year, best of luck
