I have been getting about 7 hours of sleep every night and I was just wondering if I got more sleep then would I gain muscle quicker?

If you are tired you won't workout as effectively, which will slow your progress I suppose. If you feel tired try and get more sleep, but if you feel fine don't. Everyone needs different amounts of sleep, I generally get about 6 hrs a night and I feel fine.

Your body repairs during sleep If you don't get enough sleep your muscles won completely recover. It has something to do with certain sleep cycles that your body will release growth factors. Not sure on specifics but have heard about it. Ben greenfield fitness is a good site to find out about these things

Sleep is not only important for muscle growth, it's important for the whole of ur life, u should be getting enough sleep no matter what, even if not building muscle. 7 hours is good but u can't really believe anyone who suggests how much u should sleep. 8 hours it's the norm but I usually only get 5 or 6, so just listen to ur body, if ur tired sleep longer. U probably won't gain muscle quicker if u get more sleep
