I grew up being very active. I played soccer for eighteen years and danced ballet for twelve years. I've really been struggling with getting back to the point where I feel strong and confident. I'm a petite girl and I always took pride in the fact that I could outrun anyone and leg press more weight than most of the guys in my gym class.
Now here I am six years after that active period, struggling to make it through a fifteen minute work out session! I am proud of myself for making an effort though, even if I'm screaming "I hate this so much" during my workouts. I just remind myself that my body has done crazier things while dancing and keep pushing through it.
I'm interested if anyone else has a dance background and has "let themself go."
