How many of you do deadlifts? How heavy and old are you and what is your max?
Im 16yrs old, I weigh 58kg(127lbs) and my max is currently 100kg(220lbs)

Hi. I like to Deadlift, but it seems to go in spurts. My first DL goal was to lift my weight. 140#. I got to that as a max rep. Stayed at that for a while, stopped deadlifting for health reasons, getting over that.Im back to deadlifting now, but just sarted back and decided to start at 70#, which I know is wimpy compared to what I was, but well, health issues.. anyway once I get back to DL my bodyweight again, I will think about a new goal. I am 44 yrs old, and weight flux 140-145#. it may sound like a cop-out, but at my age I am happy just getting to my bodyweight for DLs.
I don't know my true 1RM. I do deadlifts as part of my routine but since I still consider myself a beginner (barely over a year in) who has had to teach myself, I don't try to push it too heavy. I'm not so young anymore and injury would be harder to recover from.
Bodyweight ~88kg, and I'm up to regularly doing 3 sets of 8 reps of 70kg after warmup... And that's trying to keep it safe and really concentrate on my form. I will probably go for a lot more reps and get even more comfortable with solid form before I bump up to the next weight.
Online calculator using 8x70 tells me my predicted 1RM is just about my bodyweight (87) and that's encouraging.
Hi! Same as Ali and Patrick...I weigh 123lbs and I'm 24 years old (56kg) and I'm ¨teaching¨ myself ATM (instructors at my gym are not really good with these topics), started not long ago (about 6 months), being 80 lbs my highest weight in the DL. :)
I added dl to my routine just last week. I use dumbells but my hammies were a little sore from just 50 lbs. I think I can go heavier but I'm going slow to acclimate my body to the movement.
Hey, im 32, i weigh 73kg/160lbs my 1RM on DL is 90kg/198lbs. Glad i came across this post as i always wonder how others are doing. I know girls in my gym are DL 100kg easy, makes me feel behind but im doing my best and tbh, that 1rm is what ive achieved doing DL at the end of my back workout as thats not my focus, so starting with a DL first may get that amount up, who knows? But well done, your doing great!!
