I live in saskatchewan.. I deffinatly know what shoveling snow feels like.. 3 feet on any given day.. You have to remember to use your legs and arms more than your back.. Also take your time.. You may want to get it done fast, but often times you will end up hurting yourself.. Do a bit.. Then rehydrate and go at it again.. But i really stress using a good form!! Maybe even stretch or whatever first.
If you have the motivation too do it. All the more power to ya.. Shovelling is a good way to workout in an unconventional manner.. And if your really motivated i havent done my driveway in a few weeks if ya wanna stop by and do mine too feel free. Haha.
