Workout buddy. Tone and gain muscle?

5'10" and 145lbs here trying to gain muscle. Anyone with a similar build looking for a virtual w/o buddy?

I'm 5'11", 146. Looking to put on tone muscle and hopefully gain a few pounds. Started working out a few months ago. Lets do this!

I'm game but will need some help on what to do! I'm doing some weight lifting and taking whey powder, seeing some results but not sure how fast or slow it takes to actually tone and build good muscle!

Basically I'm taking whey protein and lifting weights while I continue learning more about what to do. I figured the best way to learn was to get started. First thing that helped me a lot was when I started tracking what I eat (using myfitnesspal). I realized pretty quick which foods were fatty and would just burn off, and which were more protein/carbs and would help gain muscle. Then I just kept eating the good foods and looked for better snacks to replace the crappy foods. That helped a lot. Now I'm trying different workouts, figuring out which ones I like and what works. Thats the hardest part so far, but I figure no matter what I do as long as I push myself then I'm making progress.

Do u suggest so many reps or sets or do u use a program on this app??

Not using anything on this app yet. Generally you want to shoot or a few sets of maybe 8 - 12 reps with as much weight as you can. I'm still learning but it seems classic exercises like bench press, lifts, squats, rows etc are good for bulking

I've been exercising since May and have gained 7lbs, so progress is slow but as long as you eat big and lift big, you'll gain
