Just wanted to see if there are other fellow runners here? I started running in 2010 and have been consistently running for the last year. Planning another half this summer.

Jip, but mostly just want to complete it. Ive done a lot of 10km's, so this is the next step :)

I want to start running/jogging but I can't even get 1/4km.

Any advice appreciated.

That's good that leaves u lots of room for improvement! Just keep it nice and steady . Maybe try a run / walk approach. Run for 30 sec then walk for 30 sec. I'm not sure about the time ratio but u c wat I'm saying? And once a week go a little bit further than wat UV been doing. Take ur time and remember u have to run back the extra distance u went out! Ul b pounding out the miles in no time.

I agree with Erik. You gotta start where you are. I did the run/walk approach when I first started. There are good apps for couch to 5K plans. I used C25K and really liked it.

When i started running, i would usually run from lamp pole to lamp pole, then walk, then again lamp pole to lamp pole.

I'd like to be a runner. The first time I tried to get in shape I ran two 5Ks (2011) ... but I've never really considered myself a good runner. I certainly want to get there, though. A long term goal of mine is to run a Half Marathon. I'm building up my endurance with 30 minute jogs at the gym when I finish strength training.
