Newbie day 1 ...any tips ....suggestions ? New friends?

I am on day one of this app using it in conjunction with a calorie counter and I'm looking to lose 50 pds...I am open to any suggestions anyone has on how to best do this...as I am at beginner level of it ALL! If anyone would like support on their journey I am here and would love the same!!!!!

Day 1 down! :-) (of exercise) ...I been doing the food thing for almost two weeks so far so good :-)

Today s day 2 for me, I pick cpl exercises and do them throughout the day, I just did 2 min plank test!! Did 30 secs the rest the. 45 secs, not great but it's a start!! Dieting is hard for me bc I have a house of 7 and I do all cooking. I'm looking to lose about 30 lbs & cut back on snacking that's my down fall.

I started just over a year ago. With almost 300 workouts under my belt i can honestly say that the best tip i can give is:

Be consistent and regular with your workouts. Don't worry if its a 5 min workout or an hour. It all adds up. Most of my workouts are less than 15mins and i am in the best shape of my life.

Even if you only have a short time to work out do something. Anything is better than nothing.

I'm doing great with food horrible with motivation to workout... I need to do a little something every single day! I'm trying so hard! More than happy to buddy up with you!

  Yeah I have a thing for snacking too....but I have just eliminated the temptation and I buy my kids snacks that I don't like so I don't even want any!! Lol....I traded in the bad stuff for fruit so if I "slip" it's on some good calories . I also been just cooking non fried...foods nursing my crockpot has been a life saver...!!! I look forward to hearing more on your progress!!

Alison ..:-) girl we can so this...it is a little hard to get myself all hyped up to get ready to feel pain ...(workout) but I know it's going to have an amazing end result and it will get easier ...we will do it together!!! To start just do small workouts first....a little each day if u have access to a gym hit a treadmill for a few mins. ...these are things I have heard of course I am new and just starting myself ...so lets keep each other motivated!

Hi! My name is Katy. Today is ny first day too. And whew, I'm so outta shape! I just had a baby and need to get off this weight! I would love to lose about 50 pounds. I am the worlds worst about working out really hard.. for one week and then losing all motivation. If anyone has the same problem, maybe we can motivate each other. Follow me and I'll do the same!

Hi Cheeron, I am still barely new to this also. I have attempted several workouts; Turbofire, Insanity, P90X and so many more. My schedule is so hectic (at times) due to my job, that I have to basically eat on the go for about 30 days!!!!!. But now that I am back home, I am giving it my all! There is no stopping now. I have went from looking at the big number (50 lb goal) to being excited about my small steps ( 2 lb loss)!  Anyhow, I am here for any motivation you or anyone else needs. I recently joined Black Girls Run and will start that tomorrow here in Atlanta. Hopefully, I will be able to hang. Lol. WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Welcome aboard and congratulations!! Believe it or not you did the biggest thing by making the decision to change your lifestyle everything else is icing on the cake! You will find support here and the good thing, everyone is different abd in different places and stages of their changes so there is plenty to rely on.

My only suggestion in addition to the great advice you've already received is to break your goal into smaller short term goals. That way you're not just concentrating on the 50 but your first 10. Once you reach that then you're ready for your next 10 and you KNOW you can do it!!

Hi all. This is day1using this app and I'm with you all on the 50lbs. I say let's do it. I also have tons of the workout DVDs from BeachBody my problem is time management and work. I'm so tired when I get home. But hopefully I get it right this time. We can do it!!
