I'be been workout for a while and I'm finding it hard to add size to my calfs any tips are challenges welcome
Do calf raises...i've been doing 100 with closed legges as part of my extensive stretching warm up...now that im starting a rope jump challange(15min) + 2 miles run a day & my calves are so stiffened..
I cycle 50+ miles a week to and from work and it helps build your legs. Big calf's and thighs :)
Calfs are a hard muscle to train. And for a big part good looking calfs are genetics. In simple words you want to train your calf muscle at high weight and high repetitions. If you are starting you should start with high weight and about 8 reps and as many sets as possibly can with this weight. Building this up to arround 15 reps with the same weight.
When only doing bodyweight excersises i would really throw up the reps and pray you have good genetics.
Umm if only I could reduce my calves. I have calves like a shortstop player. Any remedy on that one.
