Rest and other questions

Im a newbie here and i dunno what to do. I want to build muscles, get fit and lose weight. Are 10-20min workouts enough? And should I have a rest like for example Day 1 I workout. Day 2 i rest. Day 3 i workout again? Is it okay?? And last question. Can I build muscles even though i don't have any gym equipments?

A 10-20 minute workout would be okay if it was HIIT.  And take a rest day when your body feels it has to.  I'm on the bodyrock app, and most people on there work out 6 days a week, alternating Saturday and Sunday as a rest day.

If my body becomes sore i should rest for a day right? What i did last time is I worked out continuously but i felt no improvement. My body just became sore

Go for an active rest day.. Walking or yoga.. Your muscles need to rest in order to improve. So yes, definitely take a rest day. If you're completely new to working out, your body is gonna be sore the next day. After stretching it should feel better. Your body will tell you when it needs rest!
