Tabata timer!!

Hey anyone else an avid tabata user? If not I highly recommend it!

I love tabata workouts - Haven't done them in awhile, but normally I do the 25 min routine (4min tabata followed by 1 min rest for 5 rounds). Normally my exercises may include burpees, Kettlebell swings, box jumps, drop squats skipping, rowing and elliptical. Here's the website I use for multiple timer combonations . We should exchange different tabata workouts.

You have inspired me so tonight I'll do:

Round 1: Jump Rope 20s /10s 8 rounds, 1min rest (double Unders)

Round 2: Burpees 20s /10s 8 rounds, 1 min rest

Round 3: Jump Rope 20s /10s 8 rounds, 1min rest (High Knees)

Round 4: Drop Squats 20s / 10s 8 rounds, 1 min rest

Round 5: Jump Rope 20s /10s 8 rounds, 1min rest (quick feet)

I always use the 20s/10s x8 ! So obsessed! Yeah we should definitely exchange workouts, although I doubt I can finish yours! :P

I just created a tabata workout called tabata backyard. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Do as much as you can and enjoy the challenge. You can also tweak it any way you want.

Tabata backyard, haha, nice. I like doing tabatas in the backyard too when it's sunny. My favorites are Tabata Push-ups and Tabata Sit-ups/V-ups or other core workouts. I use this online tabata timer here: Tabata Timer. It has a big clock and a cool progress bar. That workout you posted looks like a good one Mark. I might have to try something similar with double unders and burpees.

What is Tabata?

Tabata refers to the format of the workout. You do 20 seconds of any high intensity exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest, for 8 rounds (4 minutes total). Or you can do more than 8 rounds to make the workout longer.
