What do people use yoga for? Is it good?

Yoga doesn't really "use" anything. Yeah its good- it's more for a calming/spiritual thing. If your look for more of a work out though, try pilates

Do a session and see how you feel next day. Yoga relaxes as well as increasing strength and flexibility.  Definitely worth a try

It also reduces stress. On NPR they had a discussion and someone stated that it lowers your metabolism but also your stress level so if you stress eat it should produce results

I like power yoga! I go to a 2hr class once a week. Those 2 hours fly by! It's no joke, I sweat my butt off!! I highly recommend adding it to your weekly (or maybe biweekly) routine! :) Oh, yea, the relaxation part is cool too.
