I've reached a large number of followers, which has led to a large number of 'likes' as well. The problem, however, is that I can't see who's liked my updates when said update has reached over 5 likes. This makes it difficult for me to track down who has liked my workout so I can return the favour and like/follow this person. My suggestion is that you should allow the users to be able to see all users at all times. It could still say 'person 1, person 2, person 3 and 8 more have liked your workout', but you...

Thanks for the suggestions! We'll be sure to add these to our list for you.

I think you should have feedback on your workouts where ppl can say if this worked for then or whatever 😺

Good idea

Just a thought n not sure if it can be done or what but how about having a feature where the phones camera watches you doin the exorcise? For two reasons ... 1 ... if exorcise is done improperly, one could either hurt themselves or rob them self of maximum performance and maximum gains ( or lost for some ) ... and 2 ... this way there's no cheating n just letting the workout program run letting it think ur doin the work out :-) . As it sits now if u just let it go thru 1 or more...

Also if certain exercises in a workout are not safe one after another, trainers and others can comment

Rating is essential.. Please add it

You have a segment on Ask the pros. But the only way you can the pros something is to become a member. I think it's unfair that you have to go pro to ask them questions.

Well i agree to disagree on this. You get free workouts... if you can get free talking with the pros, then why even pay for this program. And plus they gotta get paid too.. idk.. it would be cool your way to get everything free, but that doesn't happen. :( lol

In the description of the workout say if there is equipment needed (chair, weights etc) instead of finding out halfway through the and having to stop to grab the equipment.

I've found some unfamiliar moves with no demo video. How am I supposed to know what I'm supposed to be doing?! Include a demonstration video with every move so people who don't know the move can see.

Wish you guys had a paid version of Skimble.  I love that app!  It's great to track all of my hikes.  It'd be even better with a few more features...like paying to remove ads and the ability to add your own weights exercises.  I did one heck of a core workout the other day and I had to put everything in as "crunches" because the weights section doesn't include things like "ab roller" and "ab machine" and "pike ups on medicine ball" and "mason twists."

Also, for the hiking section...can you add mountaineering?  Roping up with a team and using ice axes to carefully pick your way around crevasses is a touch different than doing an "expert" backpacking trip.

Would also love to see an explanation of how points are awarded.  Certain activities (rock climbing and day hikes) seem to get a whole lot more points than other activities (running).  Speaking of running, can you add running stairs as an option?

Again - want you to know that both the Workout Trainer and the Skimble apps are AWESOME.  I love love love being able to track my progress and Greg the Trainer's voice is so...soothing.  Just kidding about that.  Usually I'm taking his name in vain while doing whatever he's telling me to do.  :)

Maybe it's my age, but I prefer to work on a computer with a full size keyboard, than on my itty bitty phone. I have some workouts from another source that I would like to set up in Workout Trainer, but it's all just too time consuming on my phone.

Sorry for the long list, I know feature requests can get annoying. But on the bright side, the list is proof that I'm excited about using Workout Trainer.  :)
  1. I second the request for a discount on subscriptions to both apps. I really like Workout Trainer, but the $25/year subscription (which still requires $10/program if I want them) seems really steep compared to your competitors like GAIN Fitness ($3 expansion packs) or Nike Training Club (totally free).

I'd happily pay the $25 for everything. or (less happily) $25 for PRO access in both apps and then shell out additional program purchases if wanted. (The $10/program still seems high, and this is coming from somebody who works at a subscription-based SaaS company that split tests pricing and various packages a lot. That said, I'll be upgrading Workout Trainer tonight so I can build and share more workouts, and because I like supporting bootstrapped companies producing good products. I just think the ecosystem of people adding workouts would be much larger with a price more in-line with other fitness apps.

  2. I also second the request for workout creation on the web. I'd like to add a lot of compound moves that don't exist in Skimble yet. I'm more than happy to type out a clear description of them -- I do it in the app currently but it's really onerous. If I had a web interface I would probably spend my post-workout time in the evenings merrily transcribing my fave compound and obscure exercises for everybody to use.

  3. New (I think) request: Let us upload photos for new exercises. Some moderation would probably be in order, and you could have a "style guide" or something that dictates simple things like "don't have a pile of dirty laundry in the photo".

  4. New (I think) request: Maybe I just missed it, but I can't find a way to search workouts in the app. It would be awesome if I could look for more by somebody who designed a workout I enjoyed, or even search for a style or type ("tabata" or "interval" for example).

Thanks for listening.  :)

I love this app but it does not take care of issues that are braught to attention. Many other members along with me have reported a member named Eric. He has made terrable comments to numerous members on this app and should be taken care of. He has told a 10 year old that the way to make guys respect her is to start sucking dicks, then he told her that her parents must not give a crap about her. He has also told a woman to go kill herself! Suicide is not something to take lightly and something needs to be done!! Soon

There definitely needs to be an age limit on here. I see many little kids, mostly 10 and 11 year old girls, whose goals are to hurt themselves and become exceedingly unhealthy with super-intense workout regimens and making themselves extremely underweight. You need a way to filter and exclude them. The older people here, myself included, try to talk them out of it, but they don't listen. You should also exclude the anorexics, who are already underweight and try to lose more weight because they think they're grossly fat. Someone's going to get hurt.

I'm just gonna use the name now. There's a ten-year-old here named Abby. She changes her name and photo, but right now she using C. as her last name, and not filling in the rest, and her photo is a sunset. When she learned that nobody would give advice and tips on dieting and working out to someone under 14, she started claiming to be 14 herself so she could get information which will hurt her. She now proposes a starvation diet coupled with multiple hours of extreme exercise to lose weight. Obviously, this is never a good idea, especially not for a child. Something needs to be done to convince her of the error of her ways, then she needs to be removed from this community, which is supplying her with the information that she intends to misuse. Her topics in the "Welcome Wagon," "Motivation & Support," and "Weight Loss" forums are disturbing coming from someone her age. Please look into it before things go too far (this goes to anyone who would try to talk her out of her plans).

Great app. I love it. However I find the description of each workout should be more specific on the area the workout aims at. Does it target specific areas. Does it help you lose weight, tone Ect. More like that rather then unrelated descriptions. Like one workout I found was taking about a Christmas turkey. And nothing about the workout itself. I found it hard to work out if I wanted to do the workout or not as I dont know what the workout does. Or where it targets. Or what part of the body Im Going to hit. Thanks :-)

I have an iPhone 4 and want to know why it's not supported for AirPlay. I have AirPlay on other apps. Any way to get AirPlay to work on a 4. Not everyone has 4S.

@Everyone, thanks so much for the suggestions, we've added those to our Feature Request list for ya and hopefully we can get some of those going for you in future updates!

@Connor and Jazmine, thanks for your feedback regarding users under 13.  We've notified those Forum topics that users under 13 would be flagged and removed since we require our users to be 13 or older.  Any user that has stated their age in those forum topics has been removed, and we request that if you see any comments from users that you find inappropriate, please flag them so we can address them in a more timely manner.  While we keep an eye on our community in the Forum topics, sometimes we might not be able to get to them as fast as you might see them.  Thanks again for your feedback, and please let us know if you run into any other problems by contacting us at support(at)skimble(dot)com.

I love this app!!!! Just want to know if you will ever consider adding away to "poke" or something, your other friends on here that have fallen off the excersize wagon? Maybe one for everybody so if I go to many days with out working out my iPod yells at me.

I suggest you can lock the screen and let the App  run. Or, block the buttons during a workout: I lost a lot of workout coz the app closes with out my permission. I also suspect the app to crash since a week
