Can you add in the "workout info" page, the list of persons (friends or not) who did at least once the workout and then clicking on the person, it goes directly to the session analysis for this person and workout?

this could be at the bottom, near the likes and comment buttons

Hmm, interesting idea. We will think about this - thanks for the suggestion!

On the team section, I want to suggest an improvement for the progress bar.
First of all, there is a bug, while looking at the history of the challenges, the bar %  is not more correct. Sometimes a full complete challenge show as 80% instead of 100%.

But back to my suggestion: can you add a progress bar in the member team section, showing the average challenge completion of the last 3 months?
A way to sort members by this progress bar (or as default) would be nice too.

All the Workouts having that exercice will contribute to the progress of the challenge. It can be reps based but also time based if the user complete the details with the number of rep he did.

On the team challenges, can you add the feature that count the number of reps of one exercice?
And also add the duration as 1 month, and not only day or week.
This will allow challenges as : do 1000 burpees in one month.
The exercices that count for the challenge shall be inserted.
The progress bar can show then an absolute number xxxx/1000 and it can go above the goal.

I don't know how the heartrate leaderboard score is calculated, but it seems to me that it is based only on the workout duration.
Why don't add a weight factor based on the time spent in each zone? For example a suggestion could be: warm-up 0.25, fat burn 0.5, hard core 1, vo2max 2.
This will avoid people with an average of 99% warm-up to be on the top, above some people working out really hard.

Good idea. We may revisit this at some point and luckily we can do this all without an app update. Thanks!

I agree Luca, but at least now we have SOME transparency vs the General Leader Board where there is zero ways to check if the member actually did the workout or not..and on the heart rate laeder board one can quickly see the actual performance when checking the heart stats on the member's page....Gabe, thanks again for this additional feature and all the other goodies that were added, I know it has not been always easy, but this app has definitely come a long way from when it all started 🙂

The advantage that I see with a weight based system , is that people doing hard workouts will pop up on the top of the leaderboard even if they don't do hours of workout during the day. This people will gain visibility and it will be easier to find new friends with same interests. And people who use Skimbke to walk will definitively be on the bottom of the list. The challenge now is too choose the right weights. I don't know if 0.25 0.5 1 2 is the right. But Skimble has some statistics of all users which can...

Thanks for all the comments. It is definitely tricky to find the right balance. We will keep thinking about this and are working on some other improvements in the meantime!

Hi Adrienne, Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear your iPad stopped working. You should be able to use Workout Trainer on your iPhone. Is this happening with any particular workouts or all workouts you try to play? Can you hear music from other apps, native and non-native to your iPhone? In general, make sure you get the latest Workout Trainer update, have the iPhone volume up (not silent), and on a workout overview page, select a trainer in non-expert mode (which will only provide minimal beeps or vibrations depending on your settings). You can optionally try to download the working for offline playback first and see if that resolves it. If you are still experiencing issues please send some more details to support@skimble.com incl. what version you are using and the exact steps to reproduce including what workout you are trying to play with audio, what trainer you've selected in what mode, etc. Thanks!

Good morning Skimble Team. This is probably the wrong site to post but I tried an email a couple of days ago which hasn’t proved successful. Sadly, very sadly, my iPad has died so until a replacement arrives I am using this iPhone to do my training. That’s all very successful regarding the exercises but how do I get ANY sound? I have tried to follow instructions in set-up etc but nothing. I would really value and appreciate a reply, preferably an email. I’m still finding my way around this iPhone!!!!

A way to filter the notification list, in order to quickly see only "comments on workout I did" for example. Or "comments on workout I commented". And more...
Like this it will be easier to stay in touch socially without forgetting nobody.

hi Skimble guys! In the program Cross Training with Yoga (workout: cross training new to yoga) in set 5 left half split and downward facing dog the duration of each exercise is 20 secs. While in set 4 the same exercises for the right side have a duration of 60 secs. Could you please fix set 5? Thanks a lot!

17 Mar
Ok, we will take a look at this - thanks for letting us know!
17 Mar
Thank you for creating this great app! Just one more thing, in set 6 there is quad stretch in left lunge (last exercise), but there is no right side exercise. Thanks a lot!

I can not add decimals while registering weight, for example 12.5 kg. I can only 12 or 13.

10 Mar
hmm, you should be able to, but perhaps there is a bug. did you try doing a comma instead of decimal point? can change based on locale.
10 Mar
maybe old mobile phone... lol... the keyboard available while editing this field is just numbers, no comma or points.
10 Mar
ah, darn. yeah we don't have much control over the keyboard on Android. there may still be some tricky way to change the keyboard that is visible to you, but I am not sure.
10 Mar
if you tell that it works, it is maybe my phone. I've tried also copy-paste, but the decimal point mysteriously disappears...
10 Mar
ok we will also try to take a look this week and make sure something isn't broken. sometimes when you paste it may auto filter disallowed characters according to the keyboard, so that could be happening.

Is there any way to add an ab rollout exercise or an exercise with an ab roller wheel?  I like to use this but cannot log it in any way.

Am I missing something perhaps?
10 Mar
Hi John, you can create a workout and add ab roller as exercise. Just type add roller in search field and change search options to "all". There are many exercises called and using ab roller. Also I have created a workout called hardCore, which is including it
10 Mar
hi john. if you search undet ab wheel, there is a result of ab rollout exercises. click on more exercises, and there is result of 19 ab wheel/rollout workouts. enjoy.

Thanks Duncan

Hi, when we create a workout, we can add the equipment. Please add "weights" or "plates" and t-bar. Weights is needed for exercises like weighted chin ups, some shoulder exercises or mobilisation work. Thanks

In the monthly HR zones graph, can you add on top of each month, the total workout time?
I think it is useful to know that a % in HR zone has been calculated on a certain amount of time.

A little suggestion : add a little number above the bars in the monthly workouts graph, similar to what you did in the monthly graph for HR.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Still missing a way to see details of a workout already done while browsing workouts.

This is possible only if it has been done at least twice and to compare two sessions.

28 Feb
Ok yeah we will add something like a long tap to see the details of a particular session.

Hi Gabriel. New update and nice to see the evolution of the app.

I can now insert duration details about my workouts I did in the past. It appears in the feed directly, that is not a problem, but maybe boring for who follows me, if I add a lot of old stuff.....

But when comparing workouts, the graph time shows the inserted workout not in the correct place in the timeline, but always as last workout. To see progress, one want to see the workout placed in the timeline when it was done and not when it was logged (even if the date correspond to the date it was done).

Another comment is again when logging old timed workouts (but maybe it happens also when logging live and skipping before the time is finished... to be checked.)

An example in my flow is the workout Amun. It is a run that I created. The total duration of the workout is 51 min. But I changed the details of each exercise, and the duration shall be lower.  But is shows always 51 minutes either in the graph, either in the duration comparison when selecting two workouts. No way to compare progress like this.

The difference is shown only in the details where I can see in front of each exercices different time values:

for example 8:15/10:30  vs  8:05/10:30

28 Feb
For your timed workout that you edited, are you modifying the "seconds completed" field and expecting the total duration to change? Our intention for that is a bit different than what you expect, I think. We are using that to not change the entire time elapsed, but to show what you were able to complete. E.g. if you were only able to complete 30 seconds of bicycle abs out of 45 seconds allotted. We assume you just took 15 seconds extra of rest and do not adjust the total time exercised.
28 Feb
yes it is correct. I was adding time to workouts where I needed to run a distance. So the exercice says for example 7minutes, but I did it in 6minutes. I dont know if you can see my last running workouts I logged so you can see what I mean...
28 Feb
Yeah, so right now it is working as we intended, but I see your point. We will think about this.
28 Feb
maybe just add a field in the selection list (time, calories, hr, %). What I am looking for is somehow (time x %complete) as it is implemented now.

I'm loving this app so far but I wish more of the workouts were rep based instead of timed.

13 Feb
You can always create a workout exactly to your liking, i created a couple workouts for myself
13 Feb
I also have a lot of reps based workouts in my collections.

Hi, I have several ideas:)
- can you add a little text field behind an exercise, so we can add more infos
- a max rep calculator and when creating an exercise, not just time or reps but an empty
field, so we can say 10 reps with 70%, 5 with 85....
- we can move an exercise 1 up/down. Please add "move to top/end"
Thanks

12 Feb
Thanks for the suggestions! For move to top/end, would be that be for the current set or the entire workout? Those other ones are more complicated but we will take them into consideration. We are working on more features related to rep logging.
12 Feb
Thanks for your answer Gabriel! Moving top/bottom was thought for the current set. But now as you ask, it also would be good, moving to next/previous set

Another suggestion concerning above all reps based workouts: can you implement the estimation of the workout duration based on previous sessions? It will be more precise and personalized. A moving average (on the 2 or 3 last sessions) could be implemented. And if the workout has never been done, just use the current estimation you have already.
For example: I never did a workout. Skimble estimation is 20 minutes. I do it once in 25 minutes. Then the new estimation is 25. I do it again in 21 minutes. New estimation is the average between 25 and 21, that means 23......

In the case that the workout has never been done, another optimization could be to use the data exercices from other workouts that have been done.
For example: a workout that I never did contains pushups. Usually Skimble counts 2.5 seconds for every pushup. But looking at my average pushup time that is 2.8 seconds, then the overall workout time estimation could be adjusted accordingly. This is just for workouts never done. Otherwise a moving average as described before seems fine.

09 Feb
Interesting suggestion! We will think about that.

Do you have plans to introduce localization in order to do distance running workouts?
Also, once this is done, it will be nice to get some running programs.

09 Feb
We have thought about adding GPS distance style workouts, but have been weighing that against doing some other features, like allowing people to upload their own videos for custom exercises. Thanks for suggesting!

Little bug: the progress bar and the percentage in the team challenges is wrong when looking at the previous challenges in the history.

Can not reply directly to the previous post because he is private user, but what about using voice commands to go to the next workout?

21 Jan
We have thought about that a little, but haven't gotten to it yet and the integration with Siri did not seem to work too well when we tried it. Have you had success with voice commands with other apps?
21 Jan
I was just a Freeletics user for 2 years... then I found Skimble 💓 But no voice commands there.

I often do reps based workouts. A way to quickly  see the best personal time while comparing the sessions will be nice.
It could just be shown in another color in the list and in the graph, and ideally reported directly somewhere on the workout sessions screen, with the date when it was obtained.

New pro member wants to add a picture of an exercise such as battle ropes to his workout. I can add the new exercise okay, which surprisingly isn't in the library of exercises, but would also like to add clipart of the exercise as well. Please advise me how I can do this. Also, if there were some basic tutorials which could be accessed to help new pro members than that would be helpful.

02 Jan
You should be able to add images to your own exercises while editing the exercise from your list of created exercises (get there from the side nav on the home screen). If you need help with this kind of stuff, please check out our blog on the website (blog.skimble.com) - we have lots of how-to posts and tutorials there. Thanks!
