Hello,
Love this app!

Have a suggestion.
Can we make a To-do-list ? And add to it workouts we would like to do that day. It should be visible to our followers too so it makes us more accountable. Everytime you do a workout from that list it would be helpful if it got a tick or star to show its done.

I would love this feature because I made such a list and posted a picture of it and that was the day I worked the hardest 😺
But it's not practical everyday unless you add a feature for it.

Also, a zumba and salsa workout would be a lot of fun.

Thank you!

We'll see what we can do-- thanks!

I'd love to have a little status bar on every evercise (say, in the editor) which tells you which trainers support it. Example:
[GL-] or [GLM]
The bar above tells us that Greg and Lisa support this workout, but the other Pro one (forgot the name) doesn't. And by the way, I know all the free trainers support all exercises, because Kim and Sophia use text-to-speech, and Timer is, well, a timer.
Another feature I'd love to see is showing you how much points you get for a workout.

Thanks for your idea Szymon!

I'm new on skim and I really like it. I've always had a hatred for working out but the app makes it easy.  I have purchased one of the work out plans and I love how it schedules my workouts for me and I can see a little icon on each day of when I have to work out.

In between the days of those work outs I like doing one off work outs and sometimes I like to schedule them in advance so I waste no time in the morning.

My problem is that when scheduling workouts, I want to see the calendar you have my other workout on so that I can schedule on an off day. I can never remember which days have workouts on them.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I want to use the custom internal app calendar to schedule my workouts and see them all in one place rather than using the native device calendar (iOS).

I'd rather the app notifies me when my work out is instead of my iOS calendar.

Gotcha, we'll see what we can do!

I'd love to have additional information in the "stats" section, probably by an additional button giving me information about e.g. how many workouts I've done during the day/week/month/overall with duration and calories burnt and comparison to last day/week/month

Thank you Skimble for this great application. I also have a suggession! In the created workout option. When we click on a workout i hope to add this option move up or down ! This way the creator person of a workout can arrange his workouts !
by levels: for example!
Hanging knee raises level I
Hanging knee raises level II
Hanging knee raises level III

Lower ab power #1
Lower ab power #2

Hoola hoop pyramid nb 1
Hoola hoop pyramid nb 2

It will be very helpful to even create the level 3 of a x workout and mo
ve it down place it right after itslevel 2 and level 1

This will be easier to seach workouts for those who like to do the continuous series part 1 2 3 4

Thank you !

01 Sep
This would be great! please Skimble :)

Thanks for the suggestion! We are working on new improvements to allow you to organize your created workouts better - can't say when they will be ready yet, but stay tuned :-)

Guys, the Status Update is awesome but please, please, pleeeaaase limit the possibility to post to a certain number of status updates per day or something...

Wouldn't that be a great idea? Anyone??

25 Aug
Oooh, this is a thing now? Hmm, I feel mixed about it
25 Aug
With you. Don't need to know every thought going through our heads. To be fair...you would really not want to know what goes through my head.lol
25 Aug
Haha same, this is a workout app, not Facebook.
25 Aug
Thanks for the feedback. We are hoping that people use status updates as a way to post tips and motivate their friends in ways that completing workouts and uploading photos can't. And hopefully they won't post too many each day :-)
25 Aug
Let's hope so :) Thank you for your reply and for working on improving our experience as users. We're just a bit afraid people may use this tool in the wrong way, but let's be positive and see how it goes ^^'

I think you have to write the equipment needed for each program

Something I would find useful is to have a 'beginner' category in addition to casual. These exercises/workouts/programs would move a bit more slowly,  avoid complicated moves and limit those needing the person to already have some strength built, and include more info on form,  variations, substitutions etc to help people learn to do things properly and successfully and have options to adjust for moves they don't yet have the strength or stamina for yet. A program that starts off maybe a little easy, but builds gradually and helps the person feel successful right from the start so they can have confidence built when they start getting harder and more meaningful workouts.

Thanks for your suggestion! We'll look into this feature-- it's a great idea.

To just have pro and not pro+ maybe? And to be able to choose if you want to be alerted by a certain person when they do a workout.
29 Aug
You can choose, if you want to be alerted or not. Just click the person's profile and there you can change workout notification setting.
29 Aug
Just turn their notifications off hun. I believe when you first start following someone, that automatically turns on. Not sure about the Pro and Pro+ though.

Why do u have a program limit for the pro + user -_-
31 Aug
Hi Ahmed, we limit you to 5 programs so that you don't get too distracted from multiple programs at one time. We want you to finish the programs on schedule and we thought that you may not be able to if you had more than 5 programs going on at one time.

Three suggestions -

1. Support Chromecast integration in the app to make it easier to stream from the phone app to a tv. It works okay just using the 'mirror screen' option in Chromecast but would be nicer and cleaner looking if there were true CC integration in the app itself.

2. Make it possible (or if it is possible, easier to figure out, lol) to view the list of what exercises are included in a program-scheduled workout and how to do each before actually starting the workout. As it is, I have to start the workout, then pause it and find the button to view the list of moves, and even then they don't always seem to have the description with them of how the moves are done.  Often I start a workout and all the moves are new to me. By the time the voice finishes describing how the move is done, the 30 seconds are up and you're off to the next move! Particularly in the moves that have the picture set rather than a video, the demonstration sometimes also takes the entire time, or doesn't match the verbal description. Sometimes the instructions are pretty complex and move really fast, so it's very helpful to be able to review them before starting and take the time to look up any unfamiliar terms, etc.

3. When writing a forum post in-app and I use the button to link to a workout, it shows me only a list of "featured workouts" rather than ones I have recently done or liked, and I can't find a way to search for one by name. (I'm using the Android app on a Galaxy S5.) It would be helpful if this capacity were expanded.

And a question -

Is there a way/a preferred way to provide feedback to the creators of a specific program or workout?

Thanks! Enjoying this app!

Hi Susan, unfortunately we don't support Chromecast, but we'll definitely add your vote to that feature request. As for the program workouts, you can click on your next workout on the calendar within the program, then click on the workout name. That should show you the summary of the workout as well as tell you if you'll need any equipment. Finally, regarding linking to workouts in the forums, we will also be sure to add this to our list for Android, since it's available to iOS users already. Thanks!

Dear Skimble, for us streaming with Chromecast is number one priority. The way it is now it is no way to exercise properly while every turn picking up the screen.

Now it happened the 2nd time! System saved a wrong workout! Today I've done Cycling, then Post Workout Stretches. After Post Workout Stretches it showed the normal screen.. too easy - right on - too hard.. I pressed 'continue' and system saved Cycling again, instead of Post Workout Stretches..

11 Sep
We are looking into this - does it just happen when you do 2 workouts back to back?
11 Sep
No. It also happened, after I saved a workout and opened the app again, some minutes later.
11 Sep
Ok, sorry about this - we are trying to reproduce and will put out a fix as soon as we can. If you think of anything else strange that is happening that could be related, please let us know.
11 Sep
Hey, so we haven't been able to reproduce the issue you are seeing. Is the app crashing at any point and then restarting? If you can send us steps to reproduce it (email support), would help us get to the bottom of this. Thanks!

I'd love to have the option to add custom voices guiding me through my workouts. The idea of having my favorite video game character (don't worry, I have my 100% legal ways of getting the needed voice clips) makes me very excited. Then again, I doubt the majority of people would use it... I don't think you'll add it, but it'd be awesome if you did.

Absolutely LOVE the functionality of the new update. There's only one disadvantage I found so far: I can't see how many workouts in total I or anybody else has done so far. Any possibility to get it back?

Oh yeah: also like to ask again whether it's possible to enlarge the maximum amount of streaks shown - and maybe add new stats to that page (workouts per day/week/months, mins/cals done in total/on average...)

Thanks!

03 Jan
Moreover: where can I see the topics/posts in the forum from anyone?
03 Jan
One last idea: would it be possible to show on the workout overview whether and if yes, in which collection(s) I've already saved it?
24 Jan
Come on guys - nothing?!
26 Jan
Sorry about the slow response - we are going to fix that bug with the number of workouts and topics/posts in the next release. Will look into extending streaks a bit as well. Good idea about showing which collections the workout is already in - will add that to the todo list.
27 Jan
Thx for the response Gabe. Got another idea today: maybe it's possible to incorporate my own comments directly posted to it after doing a workout (the one i post in the section where I rate the difficulty). Thus it'd be able to come back to my opinions (e.g. whether I found an exercise hard) to a workout or results from the last trial say of a pushup challenge and better track progress

I also would like to see how many workouts I've done ( I know some people use it as a goal) and miss being able to see topics others have written.  Collections is very helpful,  Thank you!  Love the new design.

Is there a way to type in a birthday and possibly filter out the very young children?  Obviously all types of people young or old lie about their age, but there are WAY too many kids younger than 14 on here.

I have no real great suggestions for you, but it is becoming an increasing issue. Maybe I'm wrong to think this.
Thanks.

09 Feb
Hi Ali, thanks for the suggestion-- we currently require users to be at least 13 years of age, but unfortunately we can't prevent people from lying about their ages. We'll see what we can do to remedy this in the future.
09 Feb
Of course, totally understand and thank you.

Hi, With regards to the Android app. Is it possible to have a drag and drop function to sort the order of custom built exercises. I have devised my own work out and I selected the exercises in no particular order. I found that ordering them was a bit clumsy, as I could only select one at a time and move it up or down once at a time. I found it too time consuming. Thanks.
13 Feb
Thanks for the suggestion! We will add that to our list of TODOs, but can't promise when it will get done in the Android app. FYI, you can move entire sets of exercises at a time if that helps.

Another quick suggestion, maybe instead of the "how was the workout for you" (because we can't use this info anywhere again - I know it's probably for you to create good new workouts depending on what the users actually can do but still): how about a 5 star system ***** how much I liked the workout with the possibility to search for the most popular workout  (more detailed than just liked) - also as a section in my own workouts additionally to the Top 10 depending on which I've done most.

16 Feb
I agree with ya friend would be great

And a big one (definitely nice-to have category, nothing essential):

I know that it's currently not in your portfolio but you guys know that nutrition is at least 60% of a fit life. You can probably make use of the knowledge of some of the registered trainers (maybe through a poll) and it would be also a great opportunity to find new promotional partners.

It doesn't have to be something big but how about a section about nutrition with the groups breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and drink and maybe 10 great recipes each with basic macros and cals to give users an inspiration on how to live a healthy life. It could be widened by user suggestions (sent to and reviewed by you to guarantee a good quality) but that'd be a bonus.

Sounds good! We'll see what we can do.

Can you add "Cross Fit" as a sport

Hi Kate, are you talking about adding this to Workout Trainer or GPS Sports Tracker?
