Since I mainly use this for weightlifting, I have "rests" built into my workout. Sometimes it's up to 2mins of rest. The issue, not really an issue, but annoyance is while I'm "resting" my trainer is still encouraging me as though I'm still moving weight.

The encouragement needs to be more specific to the rest. Example, when I'm on a rest, the trainer should be saying things like "Enjoy your rest period." "Keep up the good work." "On this next set, really push yourself." "Rest is almost over, let's get pumped up!"

Thanks for the suggestion - good idea and we will look into improving that.

App suggestion: Can you increase the Trainers voice when listening to music please? I can barely hear my Trainer over the music, sometimes it's lower than the music. I'm using Gear IconX ear buds and increasing the volume, whether on my phone or the ear buds, also increases the music.

What I would like to see, er...hear, lol, is to have the music...dim?...the Trainer comes on to encourage or tell you the time, then the music increase back to the preset volume.

Is there a way to search the forums? I've had 2 different topics and I couldn't find anyway to search to make sure I wasn't posting a topic already discussed.

In the heart rate stats, color of text (green and blue) in the circles are inverted with respect to the numbers below. Please can you correct that?

Seems correct now with the new update.

Please, can you add the “compare and analyse session” while the workouts are browsed, if the workout has been done in the past?
We can see this only in the history now. But it will be useful to see such information when we choose to do a workout, in order to know how we performed in the past.
31 Dec
I found this requested feature. Thanks Skimble team!👍
02 Jan
Glad you found this!
19 Jan
As I told, I've found this feature (the little clock on the top right). However, if the workout has been done only once, I can't see the details of the session. It is available only when comparing two sessions...
19 Jan
ok thanks for letting us know - we have been thinking of changing that. you should be able to see all the details already in your history though.
19 Jan
yes sure, but if a workout has been done long time ago, you have to scroll quite a lot. Otherwise, a solution could be a search function within the history list

Please add the feature to create programs with more than one workout every day.

02 Jan
This is something we have been considering but haven't gotten there yet. Right now, you could achieve it by creating two programs and enrolling in them concurrently.
02 Jan
Thanks for the workaround 👍

Please enhance the keyboard integration into the comments of the workouts and in the team boards.

02 Jan
What do you mean exactly? Do you just want to make it easier to write comments on other peoples workouts? Thanks!
02 Jan
hello Gabriel! Thank you for reading all my requests. The integration of the Android Keyboard is weak while writing comments, no auto-correction for example. I dont know if it is related to Android or Skimble
02 Jan
Ah, ok. We may have disabled that since in the notes people often write short hand that shouldn't be autocorrected, but we can look into re-enabling that in our next update.

While browsing workouts in a collection, it would be nice to see the part of the body which focus every workout near the duration and the difficulty.

02 Jan
Ah, good idea. We will think about this and see if we can squeeze that extra info onto the screen...
02 Jan
when you browse the created workouts all the info is visible. but not in the collections. so the step to get it could be easy 😊

Again me😁

When logging old sessions, I can't add the duration of the workout (or of each exercice). This is important in reps based workout.

Moreover, the logged old session shall not appear in the feed as "today" but in the past, if the inserted date is in the past.

Thanks!

02 Jan
Thanks for the feedback! That is a great idea and we will look into adding that ability in a future update. As for the activity stream, yeah it can be a bit confusing and we will think about that a bit more. It can also be confusing when you add old workouts and then they are hidden way down in your stream so no one sees them.
02 Jan
it will be a great feature to have. I want to log the old workouts I did with another app, and if they are logged with the correct date and duration, then I can continue to compare sessions and see my progress.
27 Feb
Hi Gabriel. New update and I can now insert duration details about my workout I did in the past. It appears in the feed directly, that is not a problem. But when comparing workout, the graph time show the inserted workout not in the correct place in the timeline. To see progress, one want to see the workout placed in the timeline when it was done and not when it was logged (even if the date correspond to the date it was done). thanks
28 Feb
Ok, we will take a look at that for the next update. Thanks!

New pro member wants to add a picture of an exercise such as battle ropes to his workout. I can add the new exercise okay, which surprisingly isn't in the library of exercises, but would also like to add clipart of the exercise as well. Please advise me how I can do this. Also, if there were some basic tutorials which could be accessed to help new pro members than that would be helpful.

02 Jan
You should be able to add images to your own exercises while editing the exercise from your list of created exercises (get there from the side nav on the home screen). If you need help with this kind of stuff, please check out our blog on the website (blog.skimble.com) - we have lots of how-to posts and tutorials there. Thanks!

I often do reps based workouts. A way to quickly  see the best personal time while comparing the sessions will be nice.
It could just be shown in another color in the list and in the graph, and ideally reported directly somewhere on the workout sessions screen, with the date when it was obtained.

Can not reply directly to the previous post because he is private user, but what about using voice commands to go to the next workout?

21 Jan
We have thought about that a little, but haven't gotten to it yet and the integration with Siri did not seem to work too well when we tried it. Have you had success with voice commands with other apps?
21 Jan
I was just a Freeletics user for 2 years... then I found Skimble 💓 But no voice commands there.

Glad you found us :-)

Little bug: the progress bar and the percentage in the team challenges is wrong when looking at the previous challenges in the history.

Do you have plans to introduce localization in order to do distance running workouts?
Also, once this is done, it will be nice to get some running programs.

09 Feb
We have thought about adding GPS distance style workouts, but have been weighing that against doing some other features, like allowing people to upload their own videos for custom exercises. Thanks for suggesting!

Another suggestion concerning above all reps based workouts: can you implement the estimation of the workout duration based on previous sessions? It will be more precise and personalized. A moving average (on the 2 or 3 last sessions) could be implemented. And if the workout has never been done, just use the current estimation you have already.
For example: I never did a workout. Skimble estimation is 20 minutes. I do it once in 25 minutes. Then the new estimation is 25. I do it again in 21 minutes. New estimation is the average between 25 and 21, that means 23......

In the case that the workout has never been done, another optimization could be to use the data exercices from other workouts that have been done.
For example: a workout that I never did contains pushups. Usually Skimble counts 2.5 seconds for every pushup. But looking at my average pushup time that is 2.8 seconds, then the overall workout time estimation could be adjusted accordingly. This is just for workouts never done. Otherwise a moving average as described before seems fine.

09 Feb
Interesting suggestion! We will think about that.

Hi, I have several ideas:)
- can you add a little text field behind an exercise, so we can add more infos
- a max rep calculator and when creating an exercise, not just time or reps but an empty
field, so we can say 10 reps with 70%, 5 with 85....
- we can move an exercise 1 up/down. Please add "move to top/end"
Thanks

12 Feb
Thanks for the suggestions! For move to top/end, would be that be for the current set or the entire workout? Those other ones are more complicated but we will take them into consideration. We are working on more features related to rep logging.
12 Feb
Thanks for your answer Gabriel! Moving top/bottom was thought for the current set. But now as you ask, it also would be good, moving to next/previous set

I'm loving this app so far but I wish more of the workouts were rep based instead of timed.

13 Feb
You can always create a workout exactly to your liking, i created a couple workouts for myself
13 Feb
I also have a lot of reps based workouts in my collections.

Hi Gabriel. New update and nice to see the evolution of the app.

I can now insert duration details about my workouts I did in the past. It appears in the feed directly, that is not a problem, but maybe boring for who follows me, if I add a lot of old stuff.....

But when comparing workouts, the graph time shows the inserted workout not in the correct place in the timeline, but always as last workout. To see progress, one want to see the workout placed in the timeline when it was done and not when it was logged (even if the date correspond to the date it was done).

Another comment is again when logging old timed workouts (but maybe it happens also when logging live and skipping before the time is finished... to be checked.)

An example in my flow is the workout Amun. It is a run that I created. The total duration of the workout is 51 min. But I changed the details of each exercise, and the duration shall be lower.  But is shows always 51 minutes either in the graph, either in the duration comparison when selecting two workouts. No way to compare progress like this.

The difference is shown only in the details where I can see in front of each exercices different time values:

for example 8:15/10:30  vs  8:05/10:30

28 Feb
For your timed workout that you edited, are you modifying the "seconds completed" field and expecting the total duration to change? Our intention for that is a bit different than what you expect, I think. We are using that to not change the entire time elapsed, but to show what you were able to complete. E.g. if you were only able to complete 30 seconds of bicycle abs out of 45 seconds allotted. We assume you just took 15 seconds extra of rest and do not adjust the total time exercised.
28 Feb
yes it is correct. I was adding time to workouts where I needed to run a distance. So the exercice says for example 7minutes, but I did it in 6minutes. I dont know if you can see my last running workouts I logged so you can see what I mean...
28 Feb
Yeah, so right now it is working as we intended, but I see your point. We will think about this.
28 Feb
maybe just add a field in the selection list (time, calories, hr, %). What I am looking for is somehow (time x %complete) as it is implemented now.

Still missing a way to see details of a workout already done while browsing workouts.

This is possible only if it has been done at least twice and to compare two sessions.

28 Feb
Ok yeah we will add something like a long tap to see the details of a particular session.

A little suggestion : add a little number above the bars in the monthly workouts graph, similar to what you did in the monthly graph for HR.

Thanks for the suggestion!

In the monthly HR zones graph, can you add on top of each month, the total workout time?
I think it is useful to know that a % in HR zone has been calculated on a certain amount of time.

Hi, when we create a workout, we can add the equipment. Please add "weights" or "plates" and t-bar. Weights is needed for exercises like weighted chin ups, some shoulder exercises or mobilisation work. Thanks
