I am almost at my goal weight, but want to focus on my bmi more now. Looking for some help on how to accomplish this goal, I don't know much about bmi. My goal is to be 18% is thks realistic? I am 5'3 135 right now.
Out of curiousity, what makes you want to adjust your BMI? I know it's often used by doctors, but my big issue with using it in the fitness realm is that it's simply a ratio of height vs weight compared to averages. So for people with more muscle it actually makes you seem like you are in worse shape then you are. I had around 10% body fat and was in great shape but according to my BMI I was borderline obese.
I don't know much about BMI I was just going off of the average for my height, thought it would be a new challenge to push myself. But now that you explained it it makes sense why my BMI is what it is now because I do have a lot of muscle. Just dont like being in that category of borderline obese/obese.
