How to improve my running?
I play soccer and and go to the gym so Ihave very good lung capacity. But when it comes to distance running I can't go past a certain point which is around the 5 mile mark or around 45 min span. Usually what happens is a lot of pain in my ankles and Iwant to be part of a half marathon in the summer, yet I can't do any progress. So any advice.
Run 1 mile everyday and your time limit is 12 minutes. Track your time and try to bear it each time.
It may be your shoes. Try inserts that are for long distance like Superfeet etc. and the very best shoes made for running you can afford . If you have a specialty retailer near you that sells running gear they may have diagnostic tools like treadmill to video how you run etc. then they can determine best shoe. I had this problem and it went away after getting the right shoes. You also may have a medical reason causing it too so have your Dr. check your feet and ankles out before anything else.
