I don't know what your eating habits are but once I started portion controlling my meals, along with eating healthy my waist slimmed down a lot! Keep doing your ab workouts with cardio and eating right and you'll get there :)

A calorie deficit combined with full body workouts that build muscle is your best bet.
Usually when a girl says her belly looks manly is because are is doing only regular crunching exercises. Try going some elbow plank dips, elbow plank twist dips, oblique crunches, candle sticks, Russian twists, and (my favorite) bicycle crunches. Those will target the transverse abs and the obliques to help give a more "feminine" appearance :)
