If she really insists, ask her if she could try it for half a day and see if it won't have any adverse effects on her. If her stomach hurts from it, whether it's only a little or not, she should stop. Something like that is not supposed to be done as a routine and it is not a shortcut to losing weight. My mom tried it; she called it cleansing. She just drank water and ate apples for 3 days then the rest is exercise and good diet. She does cleansing once a month. Your friend can try it that way.
