One of my friends asked me about starving herself, so I told her what it would do to her body. Then she asked about detoxing, but she said she won't drink/eat anything but tea. I'm lost help anyone?!

Sounds like she may need some professional counseling. She seems to be quite extreme. 

Is she overweight or is she thin? Sounds like the starts of anorexia.

It's really scary to give someone like this the wrong advice. It could do more harm than good.

She's drastic. She keeps forgetting progress takes time.

If she really insists, ask her if she could try it for half a day and see if it won't have any adverse effects on her. If her stomach hurts from it, whether it's only a little or not, she should stop. Something like that is not supposed to be done as a routine and it is not a shortcut to losing weight. My mom tried it; she called it cleansing. She just drank water and ate apples for 3 days then the rest is exercise and good diet. She does cleansing once a month. Your friend can try it that way.

Doesn't starving yourself result in gradual  muscle loss?
