How accurate are the calories burned that skimble calculates?

I really don't think there is anyway to accurately track cals. It just gives you a ballpark figure. Skimble seems to be somewhat on the low side. But hey cals are cals right? :)

Not very accurate at all. Once in awhile its similar to what my heart rate monitor says I've burned  but most times its way off .

I thought it tracked on the high side?

That's what I usually find ... Sometimes it can be way too high .

Your best bet is to use a heart rate monitor (not the ones on cardio machines). You can buy one off of amazon. They are very close to accurate and you can see what you actually burn. It's great!

Funny I was wondering the same thing!! Anyway, I thought its on the high side too, so whatever number it showed I would just count half of that...

Yeah. It tells me that I burn 270 calories from walking for thirty minutes, while my treadmill says 174 and my calorie counter says 180. If Skimble were accurate, I would be really skinny right now.

Yeah I think that's a good way to estimate it.
