I recently discovery horrible shin splints... Many runners have told me they have never seen anything like it..... I literally get rock hard whelps on my legs and cant walk .... Please help
Hey try heating it up and cooling it down for a while dont do any running till it heals u dont want to actualy get to the point relearn how to walk.try it if dont work see the doctor
Thats why im angry... I run on soft surfaces. I have great running shoes. I ice them and stretch... It wont go away
Are u flatt footed cause it mainly happen to flatt footed runner
Have you ever looked @ ur running stride? I used to get shin splints & severe knee pain when running. After looking @ my stride I found I was running with a heel strike.
Once I got to a mid-foot strike w a forward lean from my ankles & a cadence that limited the bounce of Mt stride. It did wonders to reduce pain.

As the others said great recommendations, rest worked for me. When I ran too much I got shin splints but after rest for a few weeks it was solved
