Actually latic build up and the soreness u experience th next day or two after r not th same thing...its a bit more complicated thn tht...th soreness u feel th next day or to after exercise is called DOMS or delayed onset muscle soreness...its completely normal...and yes rest is very important! Ur body needs time to recover rest is jus as important as exercise...try doing body splits...work upper body on one day and lower body th next and core on third day cardio included...
