I agree with s.k abs are made in the kitchen i get emails all the time about abs etc i dont do 1000 reps thats just crazy. With a balance diet,cardio three times a week an weight training theyll come. An keep it simple with your abs routine:hanging leg lifts,v ups,cable high to low ,moutain climbers,planks.
