How many miles do you run per day to see results?

I dont run everday but when i do at least 3 times a week I run 3 to 4 miles and I started loosing weight already so far 10 lbs hope i can keep them off.

Yes im not a runner but do to my job I have to do it and work on my speed and endurance. I run at the mountain this week i did 12 miles. dont over do it and get hurt good luck
