Want to lose weight, tone musles and increase endurance

Sort of new at this so I just wanted to ask some questions.

If I want to lose belly fat (Had a baby 3 years ago) Do I need to cut out refined sugars and carbs? Because I love tea and of course I love my tea to be sweet. So what kind of sugar should I use to sweeten it? and I heard that having whole wheat bread is not good to eat since it has the bran and germ removed during the refining process. So I'm assuming whole grain bread is better?

Whole grain is better, I personally use Stevia as an sweetener , but you can still eat sugar and refined. carbs as long as you track your macros (protein,carbs ,fat ) and stay in a caloric deficite , you ll be losing weight :)
