Hi All! I'm a new runner and in training for running 5K Race for Life 20th July. Training is going really well. Using Runkeeper app to track each run and pace and distance is improving. However I'm a little concerned I may not be warming up properly. Can anyone recommend a good warm up and how long should be warming up for? Thanks
I'm not familiar with that app but if it mixes up your runs with walking, sprints and freestyle then you won't need much more than a few stretches before you go. Most apps include warm ups if they're necessary from my experience. Hope that helps.
Hi. I do stretches and exercises for 5 minutes before leaving house and begin running. I start with jog and gradually increase depending on my stamina. But thinking should be walking outside for 5 minutes before running to complete warmup.
