Yes it can provide you delta pain because your muscles are like bundle of very fine tissues and when u go for irregular workout it create you Un necessary problems
What's workouts you doing? Cardio or muscle gain?
If muscle and your building up in weight and then do nothing for a week or so and try to start where you left off your over taxing your muscles.
You need to rest that delt dont rush into anything when in pain unless you know what pain it is....I can't stress enough warm up and warm up well.. the amount of guys in my gym who think its woosie to warm up and then they disappear or moan cause there not progressing!
