I've just come back to android, went over to apple for 8 months with a 5s, and gotta say the iPhone 5s built in m7 coprocessor is awesome for tracking steps.

But now I'm back with android I'm find it hard to find a good pedometer that tracks your day to day steps while running in the background. I've tried a few, but there not very accurate!

Anybody got any recommendations?

Well I have a Samsung phone so it has the S health app! Awesome for everything from exercise to meals to pedometers to GPS tracker exercises but there's an app called Noom on Android if you don't have a Samsung!!

As above I use Samsung S Health but I've also heard myfitnesspal is good app..

It has a barcode scanner for foods which I wish s health had..I've input that much data that its a shame to switch!  So here hoping Samsung update it.
