What goals should I create for myself

I really want to start don't hold with working out but what goals should I do. Should I look for size visual improvement or amount if weight I can lift?

I set small goals. I think of it as an interval sort of thing. I pick a goal that's likely to be achievable in 1-3 months. When I get there, I make a new goal. That way it feels like progress, like you may not be at your ultimate dream goal, but you've had all these smaller victories. It's easier to stay motivated when you have a track record of successes, so pick solid, defineable goals rather than nebulous concepts like visual improvement (the mirror lies).
