Still sore from walking what to do

I just started walking since last week, however still feeling sore muscles.
What do you do usually after walking and running..
Do you take warm shower or hot or cold?
Do you eat normal meal after that?
Any suggestions?

If you have a full range of motion then stretching will ease the soreness.

When you start any kind of activity that your body isn't used to your muscle fibres tear this is normal its how the muscles get stronger that soreness can take a week or so to ease on its own.  After a month or so the muscle doesn't get as sore as it did when you first started.

The important  part is take notice  of what kind of soreness  it is if its achey pain then its as i said if its different  kind of pain like injury then rest and ice will help.

To relax and recharge after sports, cold water is good. Later, when you're having pain, warmth, stretching and gentle massages are helpful.

Eat healthy. Make sure to get enough vitamin, protein and mineral nutrients.

The long pain is a sing you were overdoing it. Walk slower or not as long as you did last time. Give your body time to get used to the new challenge:)

I was told by a trainer to get navel oranges...its something about them that helps get rid if the soreness... But it works. I eat about 2 after each workout
